Welcome to SMARTER, an association of responsible riders and others who care about the safety of motorcyclists.
SMARTER is an acronym for Skilled Motorcyclist Association–Responsible, Trained and Educated Riders (SMARTER) Inc.
Somewhere in the world a motorcycle rider dies every 1:23 minute. We’re on a mission to improve motorcyclist safety. Motorcyclists stay safer when they take responsibility for their own safety by riding smart with all the gear every time they ride. The Skilled Motorcyclist Association–Responsible, Trained and Educated Riders (SMARTER) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit motorcyclist education association for riders and trainers, policymakers and educators, legislators and litigators, mothers and fathers, brothers, sisters, and others who care about the safety of motorcyclists. That’s it. Members don’t have to own or ride a motorcycle. Those who do ride don’t have to operate a particular make or engage in a particular type of motorcycling.
